From the dry deserts to the evocative forests to the deserted homes to the aether storms. "Felt like the first real one for me, too.”īreathtakingly beautiful landscapes you can vividly imagine thanks to the author's writing. His chest rose and fell as he drew in a breath. Blond waves fell around her face, soft against her cheeks. He brought his head close, resting his forehead on hers. Then that acceptance kindled a wary friendship which set fire to an amazing love. Their hate and disgust slowly grew into acceptance for they needed each other to find their loved ones. I think what I loved most was the fact that this was basically my favorite contemporary trope brought into the awesomeness that is a dystopian world. “She found it curious and frightening that she could deeply dislike someone she didn’t even know. Imperfect and surprising and maybe better in the long run than certainties.” “And in life, at least in her new life, chances were the best she could hope for. No, she grew strong, she grew fierce and she grew powerful. The book didn't just showcase her incessant weakness or whining. But if there's something I can appreciate is character growth. This woman annoyed the living bejesus outta me. Like I mentioned before, I didn't like her for the most part of the book. And she knew there was pain in the journey, but there was also great beauty.”

“She knew how to put one foot in front of the other even when every step hurt. I love what he brought to the story, his attitude toward Aria, his friendship with Roar, his love for Talon, and his feral need to fight, conquer, and lead.

I adored this character and all his choices from start to finish. I think saying I adored Perry is too little for what I felt for him. “Killing a man should be more different than killing a game.

These characters were freaking Amazing! While I was not a fan of Aria in the beginning because everyone in those first few pages were as flat as my ass, she managed to grow on me, heck by the end I was so rooting for her. I had you all for liars cause I could not for the life of me get how in the world this could get better! But, oh did it get better. Tons of friends kept saying it'd get better. And I only did so because everyone loved this. I mean, seriously, that was an awful beginning. Look, after those first few pages I expected this to be pure and utter shit. I’m glad somebody else is mad as hell for a change. He’s not just grumbling in private, or in an interview with me he’s publicly calling OSHA to task on its lack of action – much like OSHA publicly shames via press releases the companies that have been cited and fined by the agency. Recently, however, Moure-Eraso appears to be taking a page out of OSHA’s book on public shaming. Earlier statements made by Moure-Eraso regarding CSB investigations praised the companies, states and organizations that adopted CSB’s recommendations, with no mention of the recommendations that were ignored by OSHA. Rafael Moure-Eraso has been very outspoken in interviews and in public statements about his frustration with OSHA’s (lack of) response to recommendations made by CSB following its investigations of chemical-related disasters. I can’t speak for him in this case, but CSB Chairperson Dr. OSHA, however, appears immune to CSB’s calls for action on combustible dust, fuel gas and process safety management. These recommendations frequently are adopted by the targeted organizations. And then for the board to actually do it during a public meeting in Washington this month well, color me surprised.ĬSB often makes recommendations to the companies, to the states where the companies operate, to industry organizations or organizations such as the National Fire Protection Association, to municipal governments and to OSHA. Chemical Safety Board were becoming frustrated with OSHA’s less-than-motivated efforts toward creating a combustible dust standard, I was shocked when the CSB said it was considering slapping OSHA with an “unacceptable” rating for its response to CSB recommendations on that and other workplace safety and health concerns. So while I knew the members and especially the chair of the U.S. Those guys and gals tend to stick together, probably because everyone else in the country is quick to criticize. It takes a lot for a federal agency to criticize another federal agency.
